has been cancelled
The Edgebrook Farmers Market has been cancelled for 2020 due to new rules in effect for farmers markets in Chicago; these rules include no music, no flowers, no art, no children, no dogs, no games, and no prepared foods, among others.
Along with the new list of prohibited activities, the new rules in the City of Chicago require markets to operate on and “in and out” model including having only one entrance and exit, limiting the number of people allowed in at one time, requiring all products purchased to be pre-bagged, requiring all vendors and visitors to have masks and gloves, and requiring that we exclude some of our favorite vendors.
Everyday Edgebrook has worked hard to build the Edgebrook Farmers Market into a destination. We are a non-profit, 100% made up of volunteers and do not have the resources to host a market while strictly following the new guidelines. Should the city change its rules, we will reevaluate the situation. We thank you for your tremendous support over the last four years, and look forward to seeing you next year at the Edgebrook Farmers Market!
